First lac blanket experiment

Target: charmeuse silk

  • alum

  • iron warm 10 minutes 1/2 small tsp

  • rinse

Blanket: flannel sheet

  • lac extract 1 tbs

  • 70 degrees Celsius

  • 15 minutes, then turned off 1 hour

Result: Very pink shade

Problems: flannel sheet is too think, 1bs of lac is too little.

Observations: Marcela (Achyrocline) prints beautifully like gold.
